Egghead Cafe Earns Double Recognition in 2026 Hale ʻAina Awards

Honolulu's own Egghead Cafe named a Finalist for Best Brunch and awarded Bronze for Best Restaurant That Caters by Honolulu Magazine's Hale ʻAina Awards

In the 2026 Hale ʻAina Award results, Egghead Cafe placed as a Finalist for Best Brunch and took home the Bronze award for Best Restaurant That Caters — a distinction that reflects both the restaurant's dine-in following and its growing catering business serving offices, private events, and celebrations across Oahu.

First awarded in 1984, the Hale ʻAina Awards are decided by reader voting and are considered one of the most trusted, longest-running measures of dining excellence in the islands, spanning categories from neighbor-island favorites to citywide staples. This year's Best Brunch category was topped by Café Kaila (Gold) and Tangö Contemporary Café (Silver), with Over Easy taking Bronze and Egghead Cafe rounding out the Finalists. In Best Restaurant That Caters, Easy 'Que took Gold and Chef Chai took Silver, with Egghead Cafe earning Bronze.
