To be successful in this job, you will need an open-mind for learning, a heart for improving, a body that can endure multi-tasking. Culinary school education is preferred or at least 1-year prior experience in a related position is an advantage.

 

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Prepare awesome meals for our customers according to our recipes & menu.

  • Guides completion of daily prep lists and job assignments.

  • Follow established food safety, cleaning and maintenance procedures.

  • Know and practice proper lifting techniques and safe use of all tools and equipment.

  • Keep department leadership informed of all events that affect the Kitchen.

  • Work with all production Team Members to minimize waste.

  • Regular attendance is essential.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader/Store Leadership.

  • Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.

  • Cook eggs, bake, sauté, meats, vegetables, and other ingredients.

  • Check food and ingredients for freshness.

  • Arrange and garnish dishes.

  • Work well under pressure and within the time limit.

  • Ensure that kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.

  • Dishwashing & cleaning BOH thoroughly

  • Respect yourself and others.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Carry up to 50lb.

  • Culinary school 2-4 year degree or 1-year related position experience preferred.

  • Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions.

  • Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation.

  • Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes.

  • Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.

  • Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Necessary Skills:

  • Basic math and writing.

  • Ability to learn and practice new/innovative food preparation and service methods as determined by the company.

  • Able to interact with guests and co-workers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Possess problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending the English language.

 

Necessary Attributes:

  • Trustworthy with company property.

  • Enjoys multi-tasking in a fast paced environment.

  • Punctual and dependable.

 

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Passed a tuberculosis (TB) skin test within 5 years of start date.
